Using Dial-Out to Configure a Dial-In Modem

One of the many ways to program a dial-in modem is to define it as a dial-in or dial-out modem and use a reverse telnet connection to configure it. This way a modem can be accessed from a host system using telnet. After connecting to the port, modem commands can be sent directly to the modem (for example, the IBM command set or the Attention command set.
