The xdr_u_short subroutine is a filter primitive that translates between C language unsigned short integers and their external representations.

| usp | Specifies the address of the unsigned short integer. |
Upon successful completion, this subroutine returns a value of 1. If unsuccessful, it returns a value of 0.
