Resets a Network Terminal Accelerator (NTX) channel. This command only applies to AIX Version 4.2 or later.
ntx_chreset PortID
The ntx_chreset command terminates any activity that is currently running on the channel specified by the hty port name. Any data buffered in the queues is flushed and the channel is closed. If the an /etc/inittab entry has the getty command scheduled to be respawned, it does so.
PortID | Specifies the hty port name. |
This command returns the following exit values:
0 | Successful completion. |
>0 | An error occurred. |
Access Control: You must have root authority to run this command.
To reset the channel with hty port name /dev/hty123, enter:
ntx_chreset /dev/hty123
/usr/bin/ntx_chreset | Contains the ntx_chreset command. |
/dev/rhp0 | Default NTX raw device file name. |
