Commands Reference, Volume 4

prtty Command

Purpose

Prints to the printer port of the terminal.

Syntax

prtty-lNumber] [ File ... ]

Description

The prtty command prints the files specified by the File parameter to the printer port of your terminal. The prtty command reads the TERM environment variable and looks for that terminal in the /usr/lib/INed/terms.bin terminal description file. It uses the terminal description file to get the k2 (enable printer port) and k3 (disable printer port) sequences. If you do not specify a file, the editor reads from standard input.

Flags

-lNumber Prompts you to start printing, prints number of lines specified with the Number variable, then prompts you again for further commands.
